Be honest.
What lies do you tell yourself?
“I’ll start tomorrow.”
“I have to do that later.”
“I can’t do that.”
“I don’t have the time.”
“I’m not good enough.”
We tell ourselves so many lies every day and they have a negative, corrosive effect on our goals and on our self esteem.
When we deal with others, we expect honesty. We need honesty to make progress, to trust others.
So, before you tell yourself another lie like “I know she doesn’t like me, I just know it,” or “I just know I could never do that!” ask yourself what your most trusted, honest friend would tell you.
Be your own honest friend.
Be good to yourself.
Be honest with yourself.
